Shopify payments – sales in many currencies

Shopify payments

Thanks to Shopify Payments you can sell and accept payments in many currencies. Currently, Shopify Payments supports 85 currencies – including PLN. Having a Shopify online store, you can use this solution.

It will work in your case if:

  • You have one online store with international traffic
  • You sell in several regions with other currencies, such as Australia and New Zealand
  • You have one international store that uses sales in many currencies

To use Shopify payments you must have a company registered in one of the following countries:

  • Australia
  • Denmark
  • Spain
  • Netherlands
  • Honkong SRA, China
  • Ireland
  • Japan
  • Canada
  • Germany
  • New Zealand
  • Singapore
  • United States
  • Sweden
  • Great Britain
  • Italy

When you are selling with Shopify payments, prices are automatically converted by multiplying the store price by the currency conversion rate, adding a conversion fee, and then applying a rounding rule for that currency. The rounding rule can be turned off if you need it.

Currency conversions occur at the time of the transaction. The exchange rate used is always the rate at the time of the transaction.
