How we prepared the Shopify Plus implementation for Miior — a Polish wellness and personal care brand. The full process: from requirements analysis, through a custom theme, to integrations and post-launch results.

Client — Miior

Miior is a Polish wellness and personal care brand based on natural ingredients and ingredient transparency. The brand stands out with a "clean beauty" approach — no unnecessary additives, with clear communication about what customers apply to their skin and why.

Before working with BrandActive, Miior was using a different e-commerce platform that couldn't keep up with the brand's growth and limited possibilities for designing shopping experiences.

Project challenges

The project required tackling several key challenges:

  • Data migration — transferring the entire product catalog, order history and customer base without losing SEO data
  • Custom design — Miior's brand required a unique, minimalist design reflecting the brand's DNA
  • Performance — the previous platform had poor Core Web Vitals scores affecting SEO and conversion
  • Expanded product descriptions — each product has a detailed ingredient description explaining their effects

Our solution

Based on detailed requirements analysis, we chose Shopify Plus as the target platform. Key solution elements:

We designed and built a custom Shopify theme based on a Design Token system — every colour, font and spacing stored in CSS variables, allowing brand changes without developer intervention.

Theme optimised for Core Web Vitals: lazy loading images, critical CSS inline, JavaScript minimisation. Results after launch: LCP below 2.5s, CLS below 0.1.

The key project element — product page designed as a "clean beauty manifesto": expanded ingredient section with filtering and explanation of each ingredient, dosage and usage method visualisation, dynamic refresh without page reload.

  • Klaviyo — customer segmentation by product preferences and automatic recommendations
  • Yotpo — review collection and display with purchase verification
  • Matrixify — product catalog management and regular update imports
  • Google Shopping — product feed with expanded data (ingredients as custom attributes)

Migration and launch

Migration was carried out in 4 phases:

  1. Product, collection and metafield import (ingredients, certificates)
  2. Customer and order history import via Matrixify
  3. Configuration of 301 redirects for all changed URLs
  4. Cutover during a weekend with low traffic, with 24/7 monitoring for the first 72 hours

Results after launch

Results measured over 90 days after launch vs equivalent period on the previous platform:

  • +34% — increase in conversion rate
  • +28% — increase in average order value
  • -62% — reduction in cart abandonment
  • +41% — increase in organic traffic (Core Web Vitals improvement)
  • +89% — increase in reviews collected (Yotpo implementation)

One client said after launch: "Finally the store looks as I imagined the brand from the beginning — minimalist, transparent and with care for every detail."

Summary

The Miior project is an excellent example of how Shopify Plus can transform the shopping experience in a way that directly translates to business results. The key was the custom design reflecting the brand's DNA and performance optimisation that improved both SEO and conversion.
